R-Class Production Initiates at AM General

AM General, has begun its production of the Mercedes-Benz R-Class at its facility in Mishawaka, Indiana. An agreement was signed earlier this year for production of the R-Class to be moved to the AM General facility, since demand for the Mercedes-Benz vehicles overwhelmed the production capacity of an Alabama facility. For right now, the R-Class is sold in China, but Mercedes-Benz is now thinking about developing another R-Class model for the global market.
