Mercedes-Benz GLC: three things that make it irresistible

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is by far one of the biggest stars in the industry and certainly in the category in which it's evolving, that of compact luxury SUVs. The current generation made its debut in 2016, but thanks to constant improvements, it's always up to date. Here are three things that make this model irresistible.

1 - The MBUX system

Almost two years ago now, Mercedes-Benz introduced a new multimedia system called MBUX for Mercedes-Benz User Experience. This system offers a revolutionary interaction experience for a system of its kind, as it allows the user to use it as a personal assistant, in addition to quick access to the functions included inside the vehicle.

To communicate with the system, users simply start their headlights with the phrase "Hey, Mercedes" and then ask for what they want. Whether it's lowering the temperature inside the vehicle or getting the result of your favorite hockey team's last game, the MBUX system is there for you.

2 - The 4MATIC system

One of the reasons you choose an SUV is to take advantage of all-wheel drive. It's a good thing Mercedes-Benz offers one of the most competent systems in the industry, the 4MATIC approach. Basically, it's always in action, but chooses when to send torque to the rear wheels to maximize both fuel economy AND traction. The system only takes a few milliseconds to work, so it's a real eye-opener when you drive it.

3 - The AMG 63 S version

The GLC is available in different trims, including the AMG 63 S. With the latter, we're talking about a completely different war machine, as it offers a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with 503 horsepower. That's enough to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, which is mind-boggling for an SUV. Above all, you benefit from a beautifully tuned chassis that allows you to attack all types of roads with complete confidence. Really, a VERY impressive variant.
