Mercedes-Benz GLB: an SUV that stands out on several levels

2020 was the first year of the GLB within the Mercedes-Benz product family. To say the least about it is that it has generated a lot of interest. Its sleek styling, of course, is what's most striking about it, but when you get to know it, you'll find that it has a lot more to offer than just a friendly face.

Here are three examples.

1 - Perfect mechanical combinations

Mechanically and conceptually, when you stay at the Mercedes-Benz address, you get the very best. With the GLB, this is illustrated perfectly on three levels. First, the 4-cylinder turbocharged engine is both powerful (221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque) and frugal. Then, the vehicle benefits from driving modes (Comfort, Eco, Sport and Individual) that really change its behavior. Finally, with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, you get one of the best all-wheel drive systems in the industry.

2 - Seven Seats

Do you know many luxury sub-compact SUVs that offer a seven-seat configuration? Actually, the GLB is the only one. Of course, space is more limited and it's more suitable for young children, but it's possible to have seven on board the GLB; it's unthinkable with the competition's products.

3 - The MBUX system

Multimedia systems are now everywhere throughout the automotive industry. However, not all of them are user-friendly, and even the use of some of them is a headache. With the MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) approach, it's a personal assistant that we offer you, literally. Concretely, you can converse with it by launching commands with the phrase "Hey, Mercedes". The system will then respond to you, according to its capabilities. It will even learn over time. You can ask it to turn up the temperature, turn down the volume of the audio system, give you the latest weather forecast, in short, its possibilities are practically infinite. And that's without counting on elements like 3D navigation with augmented reality, which is there to facilitate your movements in unknown areas. The MBUX system is the experience of a luxury car at an affordable price.
