Interesting improvements for the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is one of the company's most important products worldwide. A true flagship model, this car is popular around the world and a look at the offer allows us to understand why; Mercedes-Benz offers its E-Class in every possible way to satisfy a majority of buyers.

Simply at Mercedes-Benz, there are 11 variants in the catalogue, with 4 different powertrains, all served through 4 distinct body styles: sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon. There have been a few changes this year, including cosmetic touch-ups at the front and rear, as well as the arrival of new headlights and lights.

Let's see how 2021 is the best year ever for the model.

Technological update

In 2019, Mercedes-Benz has made many eyes pop with its new multimedia system MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). This system allows an incredible level of interaction by allowing a conversation with voice recognition, such as setting the cabin temperature or finding out what the weather will be like the next day. Well for 2021, it makes its debut in the E-Class, enhancing the experience inside.

Powertrains for all tastes

Under the hood, we are entitled to a small adjustment in the E450, but what is to be retained is the variety that is proposed. First of all, with the E350, there's a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine (255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque). Then, with the E450, there's a new 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-6 (362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque). This engine even benefits from the EQ Boost function, which provides electrical power for better responsiveness without unnecessarily increasing fuel consumption.

With the E 53, a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine (429 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque) is on duty, while a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 (603 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque) powers the E 63 S. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard across the lineup, with appropriate settings depending on the powertrains it's backed by.

The experience

Beyond all that, the 2021 E-Class still serves a driving experience that goes beyond... driving a car. In fact, it's a sensory experience that's offered to you on board.

First of all, it's driving that exalts our senses, it's driving that combines power, flexibility, precision and tranquillity. And the interior of the 2021 E-Class is a great place to be. The seats are among the most comfortable in the industry and you can even enjoy the massage function. The ambient lighting, which offers 64 colours, is there to offer us customization that matches our mood of the moment. The same goes for the configurable instrument cluster, which displays what you want to see in front of you.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is an exceptional car in every respect. A driving experience is enough to understand it.
