Drive a Mercedes-Benz with the wind in your hair this summer

Today's market offers fewer convertibles than in the past, but at Mercedes-Benz, the offer remains rich. Therefore, if you want to drive in the open air this summer, Mercedes-Benz is the place to go.

In fact, the brand, recognizable by its silver star, offers six models that can be driven without a roof. Here they are.

1 - Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The C-Class is available in a number of different versions, including a convertible. In fact, there are three models on offer: the C300 4MATIC, the AMG C 43 4MATIC and the AMG C 63 S, the ultimate sports car with rear-wheel drive. The available powertrains are 2, 3 and 4 litres and feature 4, 6 and 8 cylinders, respectively, in that order. It's impossible not to find a version that meets our needs.

2 - Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The E-Class is one of Mercedes-Benz's most popular models worldwide. Not surprisingly, therefore, a convertible variant is available in the catalogue. In fact, there are two, the E450 4MATIC and the AMG E 53 4MATIC. Turbocharged V6 engines with 362 and 429 horsepower, respectively, is found under the hood. Beyond all that, this is an uncompromising vehicle that combines power and luxury like few others can.

3 - Mercedes-Benz S-Class

The S-Class is the flagship of Mercedes-Benz. It is through it that the brand spreads its image. And, admittedly, the convertible's image is quite spectacular. There are two versions on the menu: the S 560 and the AMG S 63 4MATIC. Here, 463 and 603-hp V8 engines are waiting for you, and you'll be able to drive away in style and opulence.

4 - Mercedes-Benz SLC-Class

The smallest roadster offered by Mercedes-Benz is in its last year, but there's still time to enjoy it. It's even the occasion to get your hands on a commemorative edition that's sure to be the envy of collectors in a few years' time. Two choices await you: the SLC 300 or the AMG SLC 43.

5 - Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

The first SL was launched in 1954 and over the years it has become an icon within the brand. Today it is available in two variants, SL 450 and SL 550. The first is powered by a 3.0-litre, 362-hp twin-turbo V6, while the second is powered by a 4.7-litre, 449-hp twin-turbo V8. Behind the wheel, power is combined with perfect balance and divine comfort.

6 - Mercedes-AMG GT

The AMG GT C Roadster is the latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz family of convertibles, but not the least. We're talking about an exceptional car powered by a 550-hp, 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can sprint the 0-100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. If you're inclined to push the envelope when it comes to exclusivity, this beast is for you.
