2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe vs. 2021 BMW X6: Super Sport Utility

The GLE Coupe is much more than a coupe. It also blends the practicality of an SUV and the athleticism of a sports car that creates a luxury vehicle which makes a rightful claim among the best. The GLE Coupe is offered in two models: the AMG GLE 53 and AMG GLE 63 S. Each one offers the exhilaration and refinement that you deserve.

Although the GLE Coupe is a top vehicle, it is not without competition. Here, we compare it to the 2021 BMW X6.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has better performance

The GLE Coupe presents itself in a very special sloped body shape which is very unique for an SUV. But the driving experience is wholly unique. The AMG GLE 53 and 63 feature two powertrains that elevate power and performance to new levels. The AMG GLE 53 features a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine that attains 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. This power leads to a 0-100 km/h time of 5.3 seconds.

The AMG GLE 63 S features peak performance with a 4.0-litre, biturbo eight-cylinder that generates 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft or torque. The road-commanding 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds will match your driving spirit at any given moment.

The BMW X6 also includes a few models. The BMW X6 xDrive40i includes a turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder that produces 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. The M50i's powertrain raises horsepower to 523, which doesn't come close to the capabilities of the AMG GLE 63 S. The X6 M and M Competition increase and power as well as the price, but the torque specifications are lower than what the GLE’s unique EQ Boost technology can provide.

The GLE Coupe models pair with a premium nine-speed automatic transmission. The X6 reduces to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe features MBUX

All GLE models are equipped with the Mercedes Benz User Experience (MBUX) system. Drivers and passengers interact with MBUX to change many vehicle functions. MBUX consists of a suite of technologies that incorporates artificial intelligence to improve how the vehicle responds to voice and touchscreen commands. MBUX's navigation screen also incorporates augmented reality technology for a safer and more visual presentation. The X6 doesn't have anything as advanced as MBUX.
