2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. 2021 Audi A4: Athletic, Refined, and Powerful

The popular C-Class moves forward with a sculpted style, an acclaimed cabin, and a wide choice of equipment. Every owner also receives turbocharged power, a nine-speed transmission, all-season 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and outstanding agility to match its sleek looks.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers the performance you want

The C-Class features several powertrains that exude athletic performance. The C 300 4MATIC Sedan includes a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This surpasses the Audi A4's 40 TFSI 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that is limited to 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The C 300 4MATIC also keeps up with the A4's 45 TFSI, it matches the 45 TFSI's 273 lb-ft of torque, but outputs slightly fewer horsepower. The Audi S4 is next on the list but makes less power than the C-Class AMG models.

The C-Class kicks into a higher gear with the premium AMG model lineup. The AMG C 43 upgrades to a 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder that outputs 385 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. The AMG C 63 Sedan features a handcrafted powertrain that generates an amazing 469 horsepower, and the AMG C 63 S climbs in horsepower with a 4.0-litre turbocharged eight-cylinder engine that inspires 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.

The C-Class is endowed with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission that adds smooth shifting, quick power transfers, and three overdrive ratios. The Audi A4 supplies a seven-speed automatic transmission that provides less capability.

When it comes to performance, the C-Class finishes much further ahead than the Audi A4.

The 2021 Mercedes Benz C-Class impresses with spacious comfort and advanced tech

The C-Class isn't your typical sedan. Born into the Mercedes-Benz tradition, it offers a quiet cabin with proper volume for driver and passengers. With 1,060 mm of generous front legroom, 1,039 mm of front and rear headroom, and nearly 900 mm of rear legroom, each C-Class is superbly comfortable.

An available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a vibrant 10.25-inch centre screen, Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, and Active Distance Assist are just a few of the numerous technologies the C-Class offers. You can also select from many packages that personalize your vehicle.
