2021 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: A comprehensive range of products

In the luxury compact car segment, the Mercedes-Benz Benz C-Class has been a benchmark for more than 25 years. For 2021, the model is unchanged compared to 2020, but it still looks as interesting as ever.

Of course, there are many variants in the lineup, with the C-Class available in sedan, coupé, convertible and wagon versions. In total, there are four different trims in terms of equipment and engines. This is what we will define here.

C 300 4MATIC (Sedan, coupe, wagon and convertible)

The C 300 4MATIC is the entry-level version of the C-Class family. It features a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The C 300 4MATIC can be equipped to your liking, with Mercedes-Benz offering you an incredible choice of option packages, colours and wheels.

And the option packages can take the form of the Intelligent Driving Package, with its emphasis on safety features, or the Sport Package, with its AMG exterior styling. The degree of customization is incredible.

AMG C 43 4MATIC (Sedan, Coupe, Convertible and Wagon)

With the AMG C 43 4MATIC version, Mercedes adds a little more kick under the hood with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 that spits out 385 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Here, you can go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, all in incredible comfort. As is the case with the entry-level model, 4MATIC all-wheel drive is standard, as is a nine-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. In fact, the manual mode is available for all C-Class models.

Here too, we can add a number of available packages to give the model even more character, such as AMG seats, a carbon fibre package for the rear-view mirrors and rear spoiler, as well as a performance exhaust system.

AMG C 63 (Sedan)

When you get to the AMG C 63 variant, you're moving up a notch, that's the case, so to speak. This model is equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine whose spec sheet indicates a total output of 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to wipe the 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

The additions are also numerous, whether it is seats, a steering wheel, or even rear seats, all are signed AMG. The focus here is on performance. This version, like its higher performance variant (S), is rear-wheel drive.

AMG C 63 S (Sedan, Coupe and Convertible)

Finally, when you add the letter S to the AMG C 63 version, you get an even sharper car. Horsepower increases to 503 and torque to 516 lb-ft, which brings the 0-100 km/h time down to under 4 seconds.

This model, in fact, accepts no compromises. If you have access to a track, this is the version for you.
