2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. 2020 Audi A4

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan includes several advancements for 2020. Although placed in the luxury compact class, the vehicle’s acclaimed cabin offers roomy surroundings and a driving experience that comes with four models ranging from 255 to 503 horsepower. Here, we compare it to one of its closest competitors, the 2020 Audi A4.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan powers far ahead

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class features three engine options with varying levels of performance. The C 300 4MATIC Sedan features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that outputs 255 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The Audi A4 also competes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that is close in horsepower at 248 and equivalent in torque.

However, the C-Class quickly diverges from the A4. The AMG C 43, AMG C 63 and AMG C 63 S C-Class models pull far away with their performance-minded engines. The AMG C 43 packs in a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that generates 385 horsepower and a whopping 384 lb-ft of torque. The AMG C 63 follows suit with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder that produces 469 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.

But when top sedan performance is important, the AMG C 63 S increases horsepower to 503 and torque to 516 lb-ft. Overall, the best in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class doubles the horsepower and nearly doubles the torque of the Audi A4.

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is more unique

The four C-Class models provide greater choice in the level of performance available to buyers, but there are several other options besides sedan styling. The C-Class is also available as a wagon, coupe, or cabriolet in the C 300 and AMG C 43 lineup. The AMG C 63 S also includes a cabriolet and coupe.

You’ll find standard and available equipment in the C-Class that’s not available with the Audi A4. This list includes automatic parking, remote engine start and others. The C-Class also isn’t as wide as the A4, so you can park it in a garage or other tight spaces much easier.

However, the most unique quality of the C-Class is the driving experience. That’s why you should test drive it today.
